  • Yes, Salters Events is a VAT registered catering company. Our VAT number is GB441 4855 93. All quotes and invoices clearly show VAT as a separate line, giving you full transparency on costs.

  • For Christmas catering where disposables are required, we only use sustainable, eco-friendly options. Our disposables include palm leaf platters, compostable boxes, reed pulp plates, wooden cutlery, paper straws, and unbleached recycled napkins. All items are either compostable at home or recyclable, so you can enjoy your event knowing it won’t compromise your environmental values.

  • We work with a carefully chosen group of passionate, professional local suppliers. Wherever possible, we use seasonal and locally sourced produce delivered fresh to our South East London kitchen. Our position as a nominated caterer at several locations means we can also advise on spaces that we know work beautifully with our service.

For canapé receptions, we usually recommend 6–9 canapés per guest for a pre-dinner event, or 10–12 canapés per guest if they are the main food offering. If you’d like to serve more substantial options, we suggest combining canapés with grazing boards, fork buffets, or bowl food. Our team will happily guide you through planning the right quantity for your event to make sure your guests are satisfied.

  • No; we make your Christmas catering as stress-free as possible. For delivery-only orders, your food will arrive beautifully prepared, garnished, and presented in eco-friendly boxes. Simply lift the lids and serve. For fully serviced events, our professional team will handle everything from setup to service and clear down, so you can focus on enjoying the event with your guests.

  • Yes. We regularly customise menus to suit dietary requirements, themes, or company branding. Bespoke requests may involve additional charges, but we’re always happy to design something unique for your event. From themed canapés to colour-coordinated grazing boards, we’ll work with you to make sure the catering feels truly personal.

  • We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for December dates which are always in high demand. Many corporate clients confirm their Christmas catering 3–6 months in advance. While we’ll always do our best to accommodate late enquiries, early booking gives you the best choice of menus, service styles, and available dates.

  • We partner with professional bar companies who can provide a full drinks service for your Christmas event, from festive cocktails and champagne to fine wines and alcohol-free options.

    If you already have a drinks supplier in place, our team will be happy to serve the drinks they provide, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.

  • We understand that guest numbers often shift in the run-up to an event. Final numbers are usually confirmed one month before your Christmas party, at which point your final invoice will be raised. If numbers change slightly after that, we’ll always do our best to accommodate, though larger changes may affect your final cost.

  • Yes. We regularly cater Christmas events in offices, marquees, private homes, and unique venues across London and the South East. Whether your event is in a boardroom, an historic venue, or even outdoors, our team will adapt the catering and service to suit the space.
